Internships - DNB Engineering

Internships

Build your Foundation in the Real World.
========================================

The classroom teaches you how to calculate loads. A DNB Engineering internship teaches you how to build a structure. We are looking for students and recent graduates who want hands-on experience working alongside licensed engineers on real-world New York City projects.

The Opportunity

The Opportunity

More Than Just Drafting
-----------------------

At many firms, an internship means spending the summer redlining details in the background. At DNB, you work directly with our engineering team on active projects from initial concept through construction support.

You will assist in preparing structural drawings, performing design calculations, and reviewing project documents. Because we design for the field, you will gain exposure to how structures are actually built, coordinating with project teams and learning how to consider contractor means and methods. You will see multiple materials, building types, and project phases, giving you a comprehensive look at what it means to be a practicing structural engineer in a fast-paced environment.
